Field Service Engineer

OVERVIEW:

Responsible for servicing Sencorp thermoforming equipment on-site or remotely for SencorpWhite customers. Must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve. Excellent mechanical, electrical, and PLC controls skills are required. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes machine malfunctions and troubleshoots solutions on site and remotely.
  • Repairs mechanical and electrical machine failures at customer sites.
  • Documents all service calls and updates Salesforce.com records.
  • Troubleshoots various types of PLC’s by testing, installing and debugging programs.
  • Loads and debugs servo controller programs.
  • Tests and debugs wiring and controls on all types of Sencorp products.
  • Recommends parts and/or additional service, as necessary.
  • Provides training at customers’ sites. 
  • Submits accurate, complete travel expense accounts within 5 days of completion of business trip.
  • Follows up with customer to ensure complete satisfaction.

 SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Able to read and comprehend both mechanical and electrical blueprints, and discern wire colors. 
  • Able to understand and change PLC ladder logic and be proficient with both Windows and DOS-based computer programs.

Executive Account Manager

Purpose of the Role

This position is responsible for the sale of White Systems AS/RS offerings in a specified region, product or service line. Sells products and services using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying products/services to their needs, resulting in profitable revenue generation. In addition, the position provides input and participates in marketing, market planning and technical development of products and services.

Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Technician

Purpose of the Role:

Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble mechanical and electrical components, subassemblies, products, or systems:

Key Responsibilities 

  • Possess skill to understand and execute simple to complex maintenance task for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automated systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions

Quality Engineer

BASIC FUNCTION

The Quality Engineer helps to develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), focusing on the root cause/corrective action process and ensuring that processes and procedures are effective.  The Quality Engineer is also responsible for determining production quality standards by establishing product quality plans. Duties include identifying the critical to quality specifications, determining an appropriate level of variation and monitoring quality performance. The Quality Engineer also helps create solutions as part of the multifunctional engineering/purchasing/production team. The duties also include working to find defects, determine the causes of those defects and provide solutions to defect problems.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Help create and maintain the Quality Management System.
  2. Use FMEA process to develop product and process quality plans.
  3. Work with engineering/purchasing/production team to develop written functional quality procedures.
  4. Monitor and analyze quality data to identify root cause.
  5. Focus on and drive root cause corrective actions methodologies internally with 8D, FMEA, and SPC.

Customer Support System Engineer – Tier 1 Remote Position)

Mechanical Design Engineer II

BASIC FUNCTION

Work directly with the Engineering group designing mechanical assemblies and parts which will support ongoing machine development and enhancements/cost reductions. 

 PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become familiar with the functional aspects of SencorpWhite products both mechanically and how they are used.
  • Design equipment per customer specifications or identify changes to standard machinery to meet these specifications, at the same time meeting project budgets and schedules.
  • Design pneumatic and hydraulic systems and create associated schematics, bills of materials, and assembly instructions.
  • Responsible for the efficient implementation of your designs and the designs of the thermoforming group from design review to assembly, debug, and documentation to be used in machine manuals. 
  • Obtain quotations for commercial components and identify alternate sources when possible for cost effective designs.
  • Develop specifications, test plans and manuals for equipment designs.
  • Apply mechanical engineering knowledge of machinery principles and materials, manufacturing methods and processes to ensure designs are functional, practical, economical, and satisfy customer requirements.
  • Produce SolidWorks® models, detail drawings using GD&T, assemblies, and parts; and prepare proper bills of material based on design.
  • Work with assembly personnel one on one to create/review technical documentation.
  • Work with Project Management to establish an organized distribution system of engineering documentation to other functional groups.
  • Mentor other engineers in proper machine design practices and proper use of GD&T.
  • Work with VP of Engineering and other senior engineers streamlining and documenting standard engineering work practices.
  • Assist Production and Purchasing in manufacturing and assembly methods.
  • Work with the Sales Department on defining special machine features.

Customer interface skills including preparing and presenting proposals, quotations and defining statements of work. Budget and costing experience. Third party equipment specification, acceptance, and integration coordination. 3D solid modeling expertise. Experience designing standard and custom machinery. Fluent with power and controls systems. Manufacturing or design experience with automated thermoforming, sealing and presses is highly desirable.

Buyer/Planner
 Purpose of the Role:

Performs any combination of following tasks to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity as well as managing inventory levels in regards to outsourcing manufactured parts. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Sources and outsources make parts to outside suppliers per capacity requirements.
  • Coordinates production planning workflow for products.
  • Reviews the monthly build plan and creates/schedules work orders to load the manufacturing floor to best utilize production work cell equipment and resources, based on material availability.
  • Works closely with the materials management team to execute priorities, monitor progress, ensure timely/accurate data entry transactions and to revise build schedules as necessary.
  • Determines component and sub-assembly requirements to meet production build plan. Submits needed requirements to the purchasing team to order and/or expedite required goods.
  • Buys raw material for production and facilitates outsourcing as required including quoting and purchasing functions related to outsourcing. 
  • Collaborates with Shop Foreman and Master Scheduler to determine optimal utilization of production capacities and to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Works with the materials team to research and remedy inventory errors resulting from missing and incorrect work order transactions.
  • Monitors identifies, and reports all incorrect product structures (BoM’s and Routings) to ensure correction via engineering change control procedures.
  • Reviews existing planning systems to initiate continuous improvement activities to improve the efficiency of planning, production reporting, scheduling, and material flow processes.
  • Understand and manage risks to minimize the impact on the production schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualification requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management/Supply Chain Management or a related field and four years of professional planning experience.
  • APICS Certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting reports.
  • Previous experience using ERP software and high-level MS Excel experience to support production planning, capacity planning, and material requirements.

Manual dexterity sufficient to effectively use various hand tools and welding equipment.  Visual acuity to interact with computer terminal, mechanical design prints and written instructions.  Communication skills to interact with others.  Tolerance to eye and upper/lower body stress associated with extended periods working with machinery and standing/walking.  Regular lifting of up to 35 lbs. Purpose of the Role:

Maintain cost accumulation systems in order to analyze business expenditures and advise on improving efficiency, and reduce financial waste.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, and maintain manufacturing cost standards, and cost allocation systems
  • Advise management on appropriate costing based on financial data
  • Ensure sufficient controls are in place to maintain a high level of accuracy of cost data, accumulations, and allocations
  • Perform detailed reviews, using both trend and margin analysis, to validate cost of goods sold
  • Perform and report on cost to complete estimates for work in process

BASIC FUNCTION 

Responsible for creating mechanical assemblies, part designs, and detail drawings to support project initiatives. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work to customer specifications in designing automated storage equipment.
  • Identify changes to automated storage equipment that meet customer specifications. 
  • Produce designs that meet project budget and schedule. 
  • Produce SolidWorks® 3D assembly and part models.
  • Produce detail drawings according to ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

  • Prepare Bills of Materials.

Field Service Technician - Dallas Fort Worth Region

OVERVIEW  

Responsible for completing preventive maintenance and repairs on SencorpWhite material and handling equipment installed at various sites within the assigned region. Must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve. Must be customer-focused and project a professional image for SencorpWhite. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Alongside a Sr Field Service Engineer:
  • Learn to Analyze machine malfunctions. 
  • Learn to Troubleshoot solutions on site and remotely. 
  • Repairs mechanical and electrical machine failures on site. 
  • Learn to read and comprehend both mechanical and electrical blueprints.
  • Recommends parts and/or additional service, as necessary. 
  • Documents all service calls, and updates Salesforce.com records.
  • Adheres to safety procedures, and report any safety issues, including “near misses” and accidents as soon as possible.
  • Submits accurate, complete travel expense accounts within 5 days of completion of business trip.
  • Follows up with customer to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the company equipment.
